My psychotherapeutic journey began in 2009 following the death of a dear friend. Prior to this I worked in the field of complimentary therapies and Maternity, supporting women during early motherhood.
I currently work in the NHS Maternity Service and have recently trained as a Perinatal Mental Health Champion (2020).
My interest in therapeutic work lies in feminine empowerment, balancing the inner masculine and feminine qualities within us all, and I’m passionate about Perinatal Mental Health. I lead a Panda’s (Pre and Postnatal depression and anxiety support) Maternal Mental Health peer support group in Brighton weekly.
At present I’m partaking in trauma training and have counselling experience in areas of loss, fertility, grief, rape, sexual abuse, attachment issues, narcissism, co-dependency, self-worth, menopause, thus covering depression, anxiety and suicidal ideations.
As an alternative practitioner I’m qualified in Massage/Aromatherapy, EFT and Reike. I previously built a therapeutic practice working with clients with conditions such as fibromyalgia, IBS, HIV, fertility, pregnancy, cardiovascular and muscular problems therefore developing an intuitive sense of somatic aliments and individual body language.
I lead a daily yoga and meditation practice alongside a keen interest in nutrition and other forms of holistic, self-compassionate work.
I attend regular on-going therapy, supervision and on-going professional training (CPD). During my psychotherapy training I counselled at Threshold Women’s Wellbeing service Brighton and the Help Counselling service at RSCH.
